At the end of 2024, the decision was made to expand our measurement technology with a future-oriented technology: a computed tomography (CT scan) will significantly increase the efficiency of quality control within the Erwin Quarder Group in the future.
This state-of-the-art measurement technology enables non-destructive, holistic analysis of components – with just a single scan. It not only allows complete measurement of the entire part in the shortest possible time, but also significantly speeds up the evaluation within the scope of sampling and correction loops.
The company Zeiss was awarded the contract. Their Metrotom 1500 model will cover a large part of our production portfolio in the future. With this investment, we are setting new standards in precision and quality assurance.
The EQ CZ laboratory is currently being expanded with new premises to prepare for the installation of the CT system. Commissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.
Following the former GOM scan, this acquisition reinforces our compatibility path and positions us as a leader in measurement, analysis, quality control, and metrology.
